Zakir Stanikzai is a Rural Development professional, with over 15 years of experience gained in the national and international NGOs, UN, from field level rural development project operations to public policy support and processes and organizational management. Zakir Stanikzai has a specific interest in rural development and governance, particularly community development, local governance and civil society.
Stanikzai holds a Master degree in Applied Community Change from Future Generations Graduate School USA. Zakir Stanikzai served in several organizations in different roles for more than 14 years. Stanikzai voluntarily serves as board member of Future Generations Empowerment Organization (FGEO) in Afghanistan, Professional member of alliance for peacebuilding in USA and played a significant role in establishment of Afghanistan Institute for civil society (AICS).
